The day June 4, 2019 will forever be known as "Kathy Brandon Day" in Bossier City and Shreveport after the two mayors surprised the local leader with the honor.
Kathy Brandon, executive co-director of STARBASE Louisiana, reacted with joy and tears as she was told that June 4, 2019 was proclaimed “Kathy Brandon Day.”The honor was announced during the STARBASE Louisiana 20 year anniversary celebration at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, June 4, 2019.
The proclamation was made by the mayors of nearby Bossier City and Shreveport,
STARBASE Louisiana, is Department of Defense STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) program which is sponsored by the 307th Bomb Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command.
