The deputy director of logistics and engineering of the Air Force Global Strike Command at Bossier Parish's Barksdale Air Force Base retired July 12, 2019 in a moving ceremony that brought together family and friends.

They came together with the leadership of Barksdale AFB to celebrate the 26 years of service of Col. Jason Childs to the Air Force and the nation.
