First responders from around Southwest Arkansas conducted a search and rescue operation around Arkadelphia this weekend.

Firefighters from Caddo Valley, Gurdon, and Arkadelphia Fire Department, game wardens from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and Swift Water Rescue Technicians from Grant County Search and Rescue conducted joint river rescue operations on the Caddo River in Caddo Valley.

The teams conducted multiple rescues of floaters who went past the takeout point or became entangled in interstate bridge pylons.

The Clark County Emergency Management Office said they wanted to thank Grant County SAR and Gurdon Fire for coming to Arkadelphia to help this weekend.
