The Hope Public School District “Fuel Up: Feeding Bodies, Fueling Minds” summer meals program will pause to observe Independence Day on Thursday, July 4.

The program operates Monday through Fridays from 11 a.m. until noon at Hope Fair Park, Hope Northside Park and Hope High School cafeteria, serving free lunch meals to local youth 18 years old and under through the summer.

A modified school bus will also be on site at community park visits on Mondays and Tuesdays at Hope Fair Park, and Wednesdays and Thursdays at Hope Northside Park, with books and activities.

Attendant activities still scheduled include a parent center, and a visit by the Hope Fire Department, as well as health screenings through the newly-developed school-based health clinic at Hope High School. Books for the story time activity and distribution will be provided by local community service partners and individuals.
